Getting Ready For Valentines Day
It’s only a few weeks until Valentines Day and I should start thinking about what you two are going to do to show your better half how much you love them!Leave it any later than this weekend and everywhere but the local chip shop is going to be booked and that’s not the flavour you’re after unless you like your cod and chips with the bitter vinegar of tears.
Make a list and then scope out a few restaurants in town, just take a sly look in though the window, does it look like the kind of place you’d like to take your love? You can read about your choices online but restaurant websites can be highly prejudicial, some people will never be satisfied and make even the best eating experience look appalling just because they love to complain.
I’d recommend you take a look inside once you’ve eliminated the worst, go in and ask about what offers they’ll be having, whether there’s to be a special menu or not, by going in you’ll be able to check out the staff and take a quick look at the dinnerware If they have the kind of glassware that you had when you used to eat school dinners you can bet that The Mood is something you’re going to have to struggle to create.
When it comes down to the food itself there are a few passion killers that are best avoided, some are obvious and some not so. I’d recommend that you avoid red wine, I love a glass of red myself but it does come with grey teeth and a purple tongue, I think you’ll agree that’s always going to be less than appealing. If you love garlic in your food it’s probably best to leave it out unless you’re both eating something garlicky, that way you won’t be able to smell it on one another. Finally, don’t go putting rings in champagne glasses, it looks romantic on the silver screen but it generally ends up in broken teeth and a trip to the ER after she nearly chokes to death.
