Amputee Dating: Red Flags That Say Stop

By rlhutton On December 7, 2011 Under Senior Marriage and Dating

Amputee dating sites are open to amputees and those open to dating amputees. Lots of people join because they want to find love. However, there are some red flags to look out for if you’re on the site for love.

Scamming Methods

Never fall for a scam. Many people take advantage of the openness of others and use this weakness to ask for money. There are bound to be bad seeds in any dating site, but this shouldn’t hinder you from finding love. It’s worth the risk, and you can minimize the risk.

Deception is one of the red flags that signal a scam. If your online date tells you things that directly contradict the things he said in the past, he may be scamming you. The inconsistencies can be related with their jobs, marital status or interests. Pay close attention to employment information, and especially age information. Scammers would say anything to gain your trust back.

If the person is faking it, he can pretend to be something he is not. If something feels off, close the chat window.

Deceit

Even if the individual is not after money, he may still be lying because of other things. A person may claim that he is after a relationship but what he really wants is a one night stand. Be on the same page with the person and be open to discussions about intimacy. If the relationship is purely physical, you must both be on the same page about it. Maybe he’s not after a relationship but a way to simply live out his amputee fantasy.

Make sure that you’re both comfortable with the arrangement so that you wouldn’t ask for more. Choose someone with the same goals as you.

Not Answering Direct Questions

Don’t be scared to ask direct questions, and expect the other person to answer your questions. Even when the initial interaction is online, honesty should be present. Choose someone like you who sees the dating site as a venue to find love.
